I am a musician and development professional living and working in New York City.  I received my PhD in Musicology from the CUNY Graduate Center in September 2009. A songwriter and classically-trained soprano, I perform my own music and pieces by Renaissance, Baroque and Classical composers at rock clubs and concert halls in the New York area.  My scholarship is focused on early modern singing and pop music.

While in graduate school, I taught music at the university level and to grades K-8, as well as working in development for Welltone New Music, Inc.  I currently teach music classes to adults and children with disabilities at Daniel's Music Foundation.  Experiencing firsthand how nonprofits can transform lives has led me into a career in development.  I am passionate about helping to increase the sustainability of organizations that empower individuals to reach their potential.  I recently began working as the Development Manager at iMentor, an innovative nonprofit that runs one of the most successful, outcomes-based mentoring programs in New York City.
